Short description

A snake roguelite where your body is your arsenal. Collect weapon segments, fuse matching neighbors into higher tiers, and reorder them until they react with each other. Then close a loop with your own tail: everything trapped inside dies.

239 characters. This is the text on the Steam page.

About the game

You are a snake, and every segment of your body is a weapon.

Your body is your arsenal

Kill, level up, spend a MOLT and a new segment grows onto your body. FANG fires bolts. TESLA chains lightning. FROST freezes whatever gets close. EMBER burns the ground under you. MAW blasts a shotgun cone wherever your body happens to be pointing. Eleven weapons, and every one of them fires on its own. You steer.

The order is the puzzle

Segments only care about their neighbors. Put FROST next to FANG and your bolts crit anything slowed. Put EMBER next to TESLA and every jump of the lightning chain sets its target on fire. Put TESLA next to LEECH and every jump heals you. Drop a support between two weapons and it buffs both at once.

Move one segment one place and you light a reaction, kill another, and change who gets buffed. That is the build.

Fuse matching neighbors

Two identical segments side by side fuse into one, up to tier 3. Fusing costs you length and buys you concentration: fewer segments, bigger numbers, and a shorter body that closes tighter loops.

Close the loop. Everything inside dies.

Steer your head around a crowd until it touches your own tail. The loop closes, the shape is measured, and every enemy caught inside is executed at once. It is the only moment in the game where you draw your damage instead of aiming it. And a tight loop packed with bodies scores better than a wide empty one, so closing is a decision: take what you have, or go around one more time.

EL DEVORADOR

The boss arrives at 5:00 sharp. Ring volleys, solar spirals, aimed cones, a sweeping beam, rot dripping from above, his own brood. He fights in phases, he punishes camping with his Mark, and he is reborn between phases.

Two modes, two games

SKILL MATCH is the main mode: 17 waves with room to breathe between them, a mid-boss with a chest at wave 7, a shop, and three charges of REORDER: a workshop that freezes the world so rearranging your body is a puzzle instead of a reflex test.

ARCADE is a 5 to 7 minute run of continuous pressure, with the boss at 5:00.

Dying pays

You keep scales whether you win or lose. Spend them in THE NEST: 29 nodes across 4 concentric rings, with health, damage and speed on offer in every ring, so no ring only sells you sidegrades. One bad run buys your first node.

Turn the risk dial yourself

Four alchemical acts (NIGREDO, ALBEDO, CITRINITAS, RUBEDO) and five opt-in Danger rungs stacked on top of them. Each rung is one sentence you read before you accept it, and the payout is wired to the same dial. Two of the five do not touch the horde at all: they graft a new attack onto the boss. Beat Danger 5 and D-HELL opens, a bonus level that sits outside the ladder on purpose.

Solemn alchemy, ridiculous junk

The four acts are named after the stages of the Great Work. The relics you collect are a fridge magnet, a baby tooth, a portable grill, a plunger, grandma's scarf and a Sunday cookout. Both halves are played straight.

The snake that eats its own tail is not a metaphor here. It is the finisher.

Loops

These play here as MP4 because the game is a bullet hell and GIF handles it badly. Every one is also available as a GIF; the link sits under each clip.

The order is the puzzle. One segment moves and PURGE lights up in ACTIVE SYNERGIES. That is the whole game in four seconds. GIF
